- It is okay to ask Romney if, as a Mormon, he is technically a mainstream Christian. The answer is that Mormons do not accept the Nicene Creed and therefore are not technically mainstream (or otherwise) Christians.

- This is pretty much a bogus issue. If you ask any seminary-trained minister, "Are Mormons technically Christians, yes or no?" He would have to answer, "No." That is a problem with the media which often ask very complex questions and then try to cut the answer down to a simple sound bite.

- @What??? You're badly misinformed. 1) A diesel/electric locomotive uses about the same amount of fuel as 1.2 semis but carries a hugely greater load. 2) A diesel/electric locomotive pollutes less than one semi, even though it is hauling a much greater load.

- @Kayner, There already is a "term" for elected officials. It is 2 years for Representatives, 6 years for Senators (indefinitely renewable) and 4 years for President (with one renewal.)

You will notice that the Republicans hate a man who is faithful to his wife and enjoys being with her. They prefer people of their own mindset like Eisenhower, Nixon, Agnew, Ford, Ensign, Sanford, Gingrich, Foley, Craig --- you know, people with "family values."

Chris, I am a Republican and I do not hate the man or his family, because I do not know them. I cannot accept his policies or his view of a new America, because I find them counter to my own views and beliefs.
